QuoteForge
AI-powered CNC quoting

From STEP file to priced quote in 60 seconds.

Drop your STEP and the 2D drawing. QuoteForge reads geometry, tolerances, threads and finish notes, prices the whole RFQ — multiple parts included — and hands your customer a branded PDF before lunch.

15 free credits. No credit card required.

Your CAD and drawings never train AI
First quote in under 5 minutes

Built for job shops, contract machinists, and short-run prototypers.

Three steps. One coffee.

Stop spending an hour per RFQ. QuoteForge does the math; you stay in control of the price.

01

Upload your STEP

Drag in your STEP — and the 2D drawing PDF if you have one. We pull geometry from the CAD and threads, tolerances, surface finish and notes from the drawing. Multiple parts in one upload, no problem.

02

AI prices it against your shop

The deterministic engine reads your machines, materials, feeds & speeds, and secondary operations. Setup, cycle time, material, finishing — all priced.

03

Send a branded quote

PDF with your logo, VAT, bank details, lead time and ship date. Customer accepts (or declines, with feedback) from a one-click link. You see it live.

Built for real machine shops

Built around how a quoter actually reads an RFQ: CAD, drawing, tolerances, finishing, quantity, lead time — all priced against your shop.

STEP + drawing in one drop

Geometry from the STEP, threads, tolerances, surface finish and notes from the 2D PDF. Both files in one upload, one part spec.

Multi-part RFQs in one quote

Whole assembly, one workflow. Each part keeps its own material, tolerances, finish and quantity tiers — totalled into a single branded PDF.

Tolerance-aware pricing

ISO IT grades, ISO 2768 shop defaults, or custom ±mm bands — per part or per feature. Tight tolerances cost more, loose ones don't get over-priced.

Mill, turn, EDM, 5-axis

Pockets, drilled and tapped holes, grooves, threads, turned features, wire and sinker EDM, complex 5-axis — recognised and costed, not lumped into one rate.

DFM checks before you send

Thin walls, tight tolerances on hard features, ambiguous specs — flagged on the quote. If we can't tell, we ask the customer instead of guessing.

Branded PDF, online accept

Your logo, VAT and bank details on the quote. Customer accepts (or declines, with a reason) from a shareable link. Lead time and ship date baked in.

Who QuoteForge is for

If you quote machined parts, you're quoting wrong if you're not using software.

Job shops

5–50 employees, mixed mill/turn work, getting RFQs faster than you can answer. Reply in minutes, not days.

Short-run prototypers

Quantities 1–25, one-off geometry every time. Price consistently without re-deriving from scratch.

Contract machinists

Repeat customers, repeat parts. Clone last year's quote, requote with this year's stock prices, send.

QuoteForge vs the alternatives

You already know spreadsheets don't scale. Here's how the options stack up.

Spreadsheet

  • Reads actual STEP geometry
  • Reads 2D drawings (threads, tolerances, finish)
  • Multi-part RFQs in one quote
  • Auto-prices cycles & material
  • Multi-quantity tiers
  • Branded PDF output
  • Online customer acceptance
  • DFM warnings

How credits work

  • You're billed per part you compute — never per quote, never per seat.
  • 1 credit = one complex machined part (holes, pockets, threads, curved or turned features). A simple cut part — a plate, profile or bar with no machined features — is only ¼ of a credit, so a 50-credit plan covers up to ~200 simple parts.
  • Upload a weldment or assembly and we explode it into its distinct parts and charge once per distinct part. Identical repeated parts count once, and the assembly frame itself is free.
  • Your first 15 credits are free — no credit card.

Common questions

Can QuoteForge handle my parts?

If it's a STEP file with mill, turn, EDM or 5-axis geometry, yes. Holes, pockets, threads, grooves, turned features, secondary operations — all priced. Sheet-metal isn't our sweet spot yet; the engine warns you when it sees something it shouldn't quote.

Do I have to include the 2D drawing?

No, but include it if you have one. QuoteForge reads threads, tolerance classes, specific ±mm callouts, surface finish symbols and DfM notes off the PDF and merges them with the CAD geometry. Without the drawing, you fill those in by hand — same form, fewer auto-fills.

How is the price calculated?

Deterministically. Material = bounding box × density × your stock cost. Cycle time = real feeds/speeds against your machine config. Setup amortised across the batch. Plus your margin and overhead. You see every line.

What's a "credit", and how does billing work?

You're billed per part you compute, in credits. A complex machined part is 1 credit; a simple cut part — a plate, profile or bar with no machined features — is only ¼ of a credit. Upload a weldment and we explode it into its distinct parts and charge once per distinct part: identical repeats count once, and the assembly frame itself is free. Your monthly plan allowance and any credit packs are both denominated in these credits.

What if the AI gets it wrong?

It rarely does. The pricing engine has been validated against thousands of real shop quotes and ships with snapshot-tested fixtures, so on standard mill/turn geometry it lands within a tight margin of what an experienced estimator would price. And if you ever want to fine-tune, every input — material grade, cycle time, secondary op cost — is one click away from being overridden, and the quote recalculates instantly.

Will my STEP files train your AI?

No. Files stay in your tenant, encrypted at rest, and are deleted on request. The pricing engine is deterministic — it doesn't learn from your data.

Can I cancel anytime?
